It is therefore no\nlonger mandatory for social workers to comply with these standards in order to practice independently. As a result, accountability for compliance is no longer required.<br>caduque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the abolition of the standards for the autonomous practice of social workers, you\nare still subject to the same standards generally recognized in social work. In conclusion,\nas a professional of the OTSTCFQ, you have the duty to develop your training plan in\norder to meet the requirements of the mandatory continuing education regulation in\neffect since October 29, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:22px\">Social workers and marriage and family therapists are also encouraged to review the\nfollowing documents:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www1.otstcfq.org\/codededeontologieOTSTCFQ\"><u>OTSTCFQ Member Code of Ethics<\/u><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca\/fr\/ShowDoc\/cr\/C-26,%20r.%20297\"><u>Regulation on the keeping of records and consulting rooms by members of the\nOTSTCFQ<\/u><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-99ef54fe\"><div class=\"gb-inside-container\">\n<div class=\"gb-grid-wrapper gb-grid-wrapper-5743d19c\">\n<div class=\"gb-grid-column gb-grid-column-3b7b00e9\"><div class=\"gb-container gb-container-3b7b00e9\"><div class=\"gb-inside-container\">\n\n<h3 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-54455cdf gb-headline-text\">Professional Liability Insurance (mandatory)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All social workers and marriage and family therapists in independent practice (full-time,\npart-time or casual) are required to participate in the group professional liability\ninsurance plan offered by the College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This plan provides coverage for liability arising from professional misconduct or\nnegligence. However, certain exemptions are provided for, which are listed in section 2 of\nthe Regulation respecting professional liability insurance for members of the OCSWTQ.<br>de la responsabilit\u00e9 professionnelle des membres de l\u2019OTSTCFQ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This insurance provides coverage up to $2,000,000 per claim and $2,000,000 for all\nclaims, for each policy period. It is offered by the Ordre, through Capitale General\nInsurance. To enroll, please contact the College receptionist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is also an optional insurance policy dedicated to disciplinary legal protection. It\nprovides the insured with legal assistance as well as the financial means necessary to\nfind an amicable or legal solution to disputes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information on insurance, see the \"Insurance\" section. (reference OTSTCFQ,\nOctober 12, 2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-f5d8c460 gb-headline-text\">Framing of psychotherapy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Psychotherapy is defined and reserved by law, but to clarify the contours of this activity\nand promote collaboration between professionals, all of the orders involved published a\nmaster document on May 8, 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is intended for managers, employers, those responsible for organizing services,\nprofessional orders and their members.\nWe invite you to watch the video above, in which the former president of the Ordre, Ms.\nGuylaine Ouimette, T.S., presents the document.
